Neville accused of Arsenal ‘agenda’
Gary Neville has been accused of getting an “agenda” in opposition to David Raya following his criticism of the goalkeeper.
Raya began life as Arsenal’s obvious No1 nicely after changing Aaron Ramsdale however has had some Gunners followers on edge as of late.
His deflected clearance off Julian Alvarez within the first half of Sunday’s match with Manchester Metropolis prompted Neville to model him a “nervous wreck” and “jittery”.
He mentioned: “I can spot a keeper a mile off that’s a nervous wreck and there’s one proper in entrance of you.
“The error in midweek, he’s carried into this recreation. He’s not sharp sufficient and he’s very fortunate.”
Neville’s commentary didn’t sit nicely with former Wolves midfielder Karl Henry, who questioned the motives behind his criticism of the Spaniard.
He wrote on X: “Has Gary Neville received it in for Raya? Or is he simply doing his greatest to get Ramsdale again in? When a commentator has an agenda, they affect hundreds of thousands of followers worldwide. It’s actually poor.”
