LEWIS HAMITON will begin in a disappointing thirteenth place for the Miami Grand Prix after blasting his Mercedes group.
And in additional drama, a late purple flag attributable to Charles Leclerc’s slide into the boundaries meant that F1 championship chief Max Verstappen may solely qualify down in ninth place.

To make issues worse for the Dutchman, his team-mate and championship rival Sergio Perez took pole.
Hamilton was eradicated throughout the second session and did not make the top-ten shootout.
