Ringo Starr and American actor-director Zach Braff have each congratulated Colin Hay, frontman of the Australian band Males At Work, on receiving the Ted Albert Award on the 2023 APRA Music Awards. The award recognised Hay’s excellent companies to Australian music.
Through the awards ceremony on April 27, Hay acquired a shock congratulatory video from Starr, who recommended Hay on his contributions to Australian, American and English music, and expressed his admiration for Hay’s work as a member of Ringo and His All-Starr Band. Braff additionally shared a video message, praising Hay’s affect on his personal life and profession, and thanking him for his visitor appearances on the TV present Scrubs.
Following the awards ceremony, Hay posted a message on Instagram thanking Starr, Braff, and the APRA/AMCOS organisation for his or her help.
